忠平のものづくり Craftsmanship
明治5年、能登國 輪島町に居を構え、塗師（初代）忠平を号し創業いたしました。
伝統工芸輪島塗を継承しつつ、更に独自の技法を加え、より堅牢優美なる品物を製作しております。
The company was founded in 1872 in Wajima, Noto, Japan, under the name of Chubei (the first lacquerer).
While inheriting the traditional craft of Wajima-nuri, we have added our own unique techniques to produce more robust and elegant products.

当店の品物について About the product
当店の品物は、伝統工芸士が製作にたずさわり、経済産業大臣が指定した技術・技法・原材料で制作され、産地検査に合格した「経済産業大臣指定伝統的工芸品」です。
品質について誇りと責任をもってお届けしています。
Our products are "traditional crafts designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry", which means that they are produced using techniques, technologies, and raw materials designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and have passed an inspection of the production area.
We are proud of the quality of our products and take full responsibility for their delivery.
忠平の歴史 History
能登の国輪島鳳至町に居を構え、塗師 初代忠平（岩松）を号し創業
Iwamatsu settled in Fugeshimachi, Wajima, Noto, and began his lacquer-painting business under the name Chubei I.
忠三郎、２代目忠平を襲名。家業を継ぎ販路開拓にいそしむ
Chusaburo takes over the name of Chubei II. Took over the family business and worked hard to develop sales channels.
松雄、３代目忠平を襲名。家業の側ら県会議員を務める
Matsuo assumes the name of Chubei III. Serves as a member of the prefectural assembly while working in the family business.
外司、４代目忠平を襲名
工房を置き、素材と工程を大切にした商品の製造・卸販売を一貫して行う
問屋を中心に全国各地に販路を広める
輪島漆器組合役員を務める
Sotoshi takes over the name of Chubei IV.
He has a workshop where he consistently manufactures and wholesales products that emphasize the importance of materials and processes.
He has expanded his sales channels throughout Japan, mainly through wholesalers.
He is also a board member of the Wajima Lacquerware Association.
利雄、５代目忠平を襲名
Toshio assumed the name of Chubei V.

Awarded the Excellence Prize in the "Four Seasons of Japan Judging Committee" at the Ishikawa Traditional Craft Fair 2012 for "Sake Cup Box Set.

Awarded the Excellence Prize at the 16th Barrier-Free Society Promotion Awards for "Wajima-nuri Lacquer Ware to Deepen Bonds among Three-Generation Families.
Fukusuke Series" trademark registered.
Fukusuke-san's "New Year's Lineup" was certified as an Ishikawa brand in 2014.
